Florida Slavery Reparations

I believe that it would be mistake for the State of Florida to pay out money to the ancestors of slaves. Due to the current economic situation I really do not believe that Florida even has the money or the manpower to complete the task it is just too large. I think that Florida would be better of creating a memorial or monument for the public to view from. Doing this would not take a large amount of money to finish, yet at the same time it would increase the awareness of slavery in America. Not only that I think it would help future generations of Floridians to know what slavery was like, how it happenend, and who was involoved. Thank You.
